NOV 2005 : OCT 2006 - SABATINO MORETTI

On November 4 2005, MonteCastello di Vibio was witness to a moving event, the return of the mortal remains of Sabatino Moretti, a townsman,who was killed during the war. Only recently did his family become aware that he had been buried in Savona. A funeral was held with full military honours and on October 1 2006, a monument dedicated to his memory was unveiled in the Giardini of Montecastello di Vibio, following Mass in the Chiesa di San Filippo e Giacomo.

NOVEMBRE 2005 : OTTOBRE 2006 - SABATINO MORETTI

Il 4 novembre 2005, Monte Castello di Vibio era testimone di un evento molto emozionante, il ritorno delle spoglie mortali di Sabatino Moretti, un Montecastellese, ucciso durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Solo recentamente la famiglia ha scoperto che era sepolto a Savona. C’è stato qui un funerale in memoria con onoranze militari e, il 1 ottobre 2006, è stato dedicato un monumento alla sua memoria,inaugurato nei giardini di Monte Castello di Vibio, dopo la Messa nella Chiesa di San Filippo e Giacomo.
