Andreani /Residenze l'Alberata

Tucked away on the hill in Collepepe is the Residenze l'Alberata, which on the surface appears to be a small supermarket and a butchery. If one digs a little further back, the shop is, in fact, a food emporium, offering a fascinating array of delicatessen items, chosen by Antonio Andreani; his brother Floriano runs a superb butchery, with fine quality meat, together with ready made foods cooked by his wife Silvana. Supper events are on a regular (2-3 week) basis, with a chosen theme based on seasonal availability, and graced with wines chosen (by oenologist Daniele Lisa) to complement each delicious course, prepared by Silvana. Accommodation is available, culinary courses are also offered (by Silvana), and in short, this is a treasure trove, managed by the delightful descendants of the family Andreani, who founded the Residenze l' Alberata in 1915.
